The Mission
When a child in Louisiana is a victim of abuse, law enforcement brings them to a Children’s Advocacy Center — a safe, child-friendly facility where trained professionals coordinate the investigation, conduct the forensic interview, and provide mental health treatment, so the child only has to tell their story once. Louisiana has 14 of these centers serving every region of the state.
The Louisiana Alliance of Children’s Advocacy Centers (LACAC) is the statewide organization that trains, coordinates, and strengthens them all. The Guardian Summit exists to make the people inside those centers better at that work. Your registration and sponsorship dollars fund the ongoing professional development these teams need but their operating budgets can’t cover.
Keynote Speaker
Jenna Quinn is a survivor of child sexual abuse, author, TED speaker, and the namesake of Jenna’s Law — the first child sexual abuse prevention education mandate in the U.S., now federal legislation. She has delivered over 500 keynotes, worked with more than 100 Children’s Advocacy Centers, and helped raise over $20 million for organizations fighting child abuse and trafficking.
